3 signals need your own nqzai account — they can't be measured for an arbitrary URL with free public data alone:

  • Index coverage status — requires a verified Google Search Console property
  • Engagement proxies (CTR, dwell time, scroll depth) — requires your Google Analytics 4 property
  • Full backlink & domain-authority analysis — true referring-domain volume and link quality requires nqzai's paid SEO data providers, not the free proxy used above

What is SEO, AEO, and GEO — and why do they all matter for one page?

Traditional search optimization secures rankings inside standard search results. Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) targets featured snippets and direct-answer placements like People Also Ask. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) targets visibility inside AI-generated answers from platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. A substantial intersection exists between all three: AI models prioritize the same authoritative, well-indexed sources that already rank well in search, and strong foundational SEO remains the primary driver of visibility in AI Overviews. Specialized "AI hacks" without that foundation are largely redundant.

What's changed is the shift from keyword density to topical authority, clear structure, and direct answers. AI engines synthesize content from multiple sources and reward whatever is easiest to extract, verify, and cite — which means the same page-level signals now drive search rankings, snippet wins, and AI citations together.

The signals this scorecard checks

  • Entity-based content — clear nouns and explicit relationships between them, so AI models can map your page onto the concepts they already understand.
  • Direct Q&A formatting — the core answer in the first 1-2 sentences, using the inverted-pyramid method: answer first, supporting detail after.
  • High readability and scannability — short paragraphs, bullet points, numbered lists, and clear heading hierarchy that both readers and engines can parse quickly.
  • Original insights and data — citations to original research and expert quotes, since AI models cross-reference multiple sources and reward unique, verifiable information over generic summaries.
  • Structured data markup — Schema.org types like FAQPage, Article, and Person give bots a machine-readable summary of your page's key facts.
  • E-E-A-T signals — Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness: author bios, authoritative external links, and transparent citation practices.
  • Agent and bot readiness — whether AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended) can actually access and parse the page at the protocol level: robots.txt rules, sitemap, structured data, and well-known manifests.

How to use your score

Run the checker above, then work through any failing finding using its inline fix — or use the "Copy Prompt to Fix" button to hand the exact issue to your own coding agent. Pages scoring below 6 typically have structural issues (missing schema, no clear answer-first sections); pages in the 6-7.4 range are functional but missing citability signals like sourced statistics or author depth; pages above 7.5 are in strong shape for both search and generative visibility.
