When to ask this

Best once you have Analytics connected with some traffic and at least one sale on file — useful across Some Traction and Heavy Traction stages.

When this refuses

Needs Google Analytics connected: if none of the underlying queries can run, it returns a connection error rather than a zero. If your Analytics has no purchase events configured at all, it says so explicitly rather than reporting "$0 in sales" as though that were a measured fact. AI-chat-engine traffic (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, and others) arrives in Analytics as plain referral or direct traffic — there's no built-in AI channel — so it's identified by matching the visit's actual source domain against a maintained list, checked before the ordinary channel grouping. This is session-scoped attribution, not the cross-channel model Analytics' own Advertising workspace uses, so the numbers won't match that view.
